I love capturing moments instead of poses. Posing tends to be stiff and unnatural, and it shows in photos. I hate telling couples to "sit here and do this" or "put your hand here". I will definitely make suggestions as we move through the shoot, because it's my job to give you direction. But you will more likely hear me say things like, "say I Love You in a funny accent" or "give an Eskimo kiss". Don't worry about laughing or talking while I'm taking photos. That's exactly what I want! I promise I won't let you leave feeling like you were awkward. :)

HOW LONG DO SESSIONS TYPICALLY TAKE?
Engagement sessions and forever sessions will take 45 minutes to an hour of shooting time. Please plan to arrive about 5 minutes early, so that the shutter can click at our intended start time. I do shoot quickly, so don't be surprised if we finish early.
WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY A BOOKING FEE?
No sessions are booked in my calendar until your booking fee is paid. This reserves your time slot with me so that no other couples can book your date and time. Paying a booking fee will ensure that you don't cancel last minute and leave me with an open slot on my calendar that could have been booked by someone else.Your booking fee is directly applicable to your total session price.
Booking fees are non-refundable and are a percentage of your total session price.
WHEN DO I PAY THE REMAINING AMOUNT DUE?
Your final payment is due at the time of your session. You can choose to pay it via Venmo prior to the session, or you can bring cash at the time of your photoshoot. No photos are released until I have received your booking fee + final payment.
DO YOU CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?
All locations in Huntsville or Madison include free travel. Anything outside of this area will include a travel fee, depending on your location. Send me an email to inquire!
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO RESCHEDULE?
I totally understand that life happens! If you can't make it to your session, please contact me at least 48 hours in advance. I will let you apply your booking fee to another date and time. If you need to cancel and don't want to reschedule, then your booking fee is not refunded. Sorry!
WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
If I think the weather will impact our session, I will email or text you to reschedule.
HOW AND WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY PHOTOS?
Engagement and Forever portrait sessions take me about a week to edit and deliver, although it's usually sooner. Weddings can take 4-6 weeks. I deliver all photos via a Google Photos album with files sized for sharing on social media. I also deliver higher resolution print files via Google Drive. You can post and print wherever you'd like!
DO I GET TO PICK MY IMAGES?
No. Part of my job as a photographer is to select the best images from your day. Any images not delivered are either repeats, blurry, out of focus, or just didn't turn out like we intended. I have no reason to withhold quality images from you!
CAN I HAVE THE UNEDITED PHOTOS?
DO I GET TO PICK THE IMAGES YOU POST ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR YOUR WEBSITE?
No. Any of the files I deliver to you can be posted by me on social media and/or my website. Sharing images is the only way I can market myself to others. I will choose the ones I feel best represent my artistic style. I do have a fee if you want this policy to be waived and never have your portraits posted by me online.
WHAT IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY IMAGES?
I've never had a client be unhappy with their photos. Please view the work posted on my social media and my website to be sure that we are a good fit. I will perform my duties as a photographer to the best of my ability, and I will always work with you to find a solution if you are not happy. No refunds will be given, but we can find an alternative solution.
