Corey and I recently got up at the crack of dawn to visit a friend and learn how to make hand lotion, a facial scrub, toner and a face mask! We also learned about infusing oils with different herbs for medicinal and culinary use. We’re lucky to know someone who is so giving and eager to share what has taken them years to perfect!
It’s a gentle reminder that true community is found where people give without expecting anything in return, and to give someone skills they can use and share with others is one of the most mutually rewarding gifts. And let’s face it, sometimes the Internet is as much a curse as it is a blessing; so much time I could be spending working on a craft, learning a new language or hiking outdoors is often put aside because I’m puttering around online. I’m really going to try to pursue other hobbies and try to figure out what gifts I can share with others!
